Code of Conduct

Martinsburg Misfits Travel Baseball is committed to providing a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all players, families, coaches, volunteers, officials, and spectators. Participation in our program signifies agreement to the following Code of Conduct.

Player Conduct

Players are expected to:

  • Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times

  • Follow team rules and instructions

  • Refrain from abusive language, gestures, or behavior

  • Play hard while maintaining fairness and integrity

Parent & Spectator Conduct

Parents and spectators are expected to:

  • Encourage all players in a positive manner

  • Refrain from coaching from the sidelines

  • Respect officials’ decisions

  • Avoid confrontational or disruptive behavior

  • Support the values of teamwork, effort, and respect

Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in removal from the facility.

Coach Conduct

Coaches are expected to:

  • Lead by example through positive leadership

  • Place player development, safety, and well-being first

  • Treat all players fairly and respectfully

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families

  • Uphold league, tournament, and organizational rules

Sportsmanship & Fair Play

The Organization maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Verbal or physical abuse

  • Harassment or intimidation

  • Discrimination of any kind

  • Use of profanity toward players, officials, or spectators

Disciplinary Action

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal warning

  • Suspension

  • Removal from the program without refund

Decisions regarding discipline are at the discretion of Organization leadership.
